John Seesing grew up in Kansas, surrounded by small-town charm and a close-knit community. His childhood was idyllic, with fond memories of the sights and sounds of vast prairies and farmland as he, his parents, and his brothers traveled every summer on many outdoor adventures—bouldering, camping, fishing, or hiking. It was during these trips that John developed not only physical and mental strength but also other non-cognitive skills such as self-confidence, resilience, and resolve.

In his community, strong Midwestern sentiments of pride, hard work, and responsibility existed. John put these early lessons to good use as he excelled in both academics and athletics. Seesing maintained a 3.25 GPA throughout high school while playing on community and student baseball and basketball teams. As his high school baseball team’s lead pitcher, John was celebrated for throwing a straight fastball and having exceptional fielding skills, a rare combination found in a single player.

John’s friends and family could see his potential as a successful salesperson from an early age. He started his entrepreneurial journey by selling a variety of vegetables and fruit to neighbors and local business owners. By high school, Seesing was selling directly to restaurants and turning enough profit to help offset his college education costs.
